Monday, September 27, 2010 at 9:29AM Waterwork's Henry Fittings & Lighting and Grove Brickworks are a serious consideration for your next renovation project. See below:
The Grove Brickworks are made of brown clay and the line speaks of refined organic character with apparent imperfections, such as pinholes and irregular surfaces. Available in a palette of white, grays, and blues and a 2 1/4" X 8" field tile, the collection brings a handmade quality, texture, and surface with interest.

fortunata LIVING loves the refined, but rustic character found in the backsplash tiles, plus the pattern and texture in the floor tiles.

The rustic and textured character in the tiles allow this design to work well with the other elements, such as the smoothness in the countertop and the reflective quality in the sink and lav set.

The Grove Brickworks palette ...

Both incredible pieces and ones that would easily work in a classic, pre-war bath or a bath with modern elements, the Henry pendant with hand blown glass shade and ceiling mounted sconce both exude elegance and function. The pendant is incredible with its ridged fresnel glass, originally used in lighthouses and notched gadrooning and curved escutcheons. fortunata LIVING can easily see the pendants in a classic bath, dropped on each side of a sink/vanity.

The Henry fittings are influenced by modernist designs, geometric angles, and deep curves. fortunata LIVING loves the evidence of modern lines, but ones that are not super contemporary. The result, fittings that work in both classic and modern baths.

Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 7:03AM See the beautiful photos below of the polished black wood floor that John Pawson chose for the interior of art dealer van Royen's Apartment. The glossy finish has a ethereral, aquatic feel to it.

Friday, August 20, 2010 at 7:41AM A Los-Angeles design studio and store by Paula Small, Henry Road offers its customers a collection of Paula's textiles inspired by her travels and are designed around simple geometric shapes and colors. The transgression to glass tiles seems effortless and works well in displaying a different element of her designs. The designs are light, fresh, modern, and colorful.
