PIX, A COLLECTION OF POUFS AT SUITE NEW YORK

PIX, an eco-friendly collection of poufs designed by Ichiro Iwasaki are available in fabric, leather, and COM.  I love these in bright colors, but neutrals would be just as nice.  The design is super appealing because the internal structure is wood with heavy padding and the bottom is outfitted with glides.  See more at SUITE NEW YORK:

DUSTDELUXE: Tactile and Visual Use of Materials

DUSTDELUXE is based in Brussels and led by the creative experimentation and work by Damien Gernay.  The work is richly beautiful, wanting to be touched, explored, and kept in a personal collection for many years.  The furniture pieces are modern, influenced by nature, and introspective.

Textured Sideboard:  this piece is truly a work of art.  The artist and designer demonstrates courage in his use of the dripping faux finish, especially since it occurs on a beautifully made sideboard.  This piece was allowed to evolve, but not overly manipulated.  While the faux finish is only on one side, it certainly is not an accent and takes center stage.

The beauty in the faux finish is seen up close.

Nature Synthetique:  The influence of nature is highly evident in this piece.  See the close up below for the rich, vibrant detail and the unexpected use of the high gloss lacquer.

The green is so bright it looks like moss ... encased in lacquer, it appears timeless.

Barnum:  I love the asymmetry and softness in this piece.

See the interesting attention to detail in this close up.

Designer-inspired pieces by Linteloo

Lobby designed by Niels Bendtsen

The designer must have been inspired by the colors of nature as found in his work as above in the Lobby.

Modern, muted tones as found in the Tulipani designed by Roderick Vos.

The designer must have been inspired by colors found in urban life as seen in his work, Dwi, below.

The beauty found in white and the neutral palettes in these pieces would work so well in a natural, elegant-inspired space.
