Tangle Glove Pendant Light by Tord Boontje

fortunata LIVING, Bren's blog, is a platform in which she openly shares her knowledge, resources and experiences as an urban designer and entrepreneur. Here she posts about her projects, love of food, wine, and design and everything that contributes towards a a beautiful lifestyle worth living.

BBAUER is founded by Bren, an American entrepreneur, designer, and artist.  From Austin, Texas and based in New York City she spends her time building her business and designing, renovating, and overseeing residential interior design and renovation projects. Bren's deep appreciation for all things culinary  led her to engage in a career in design and this almost always involves a kitchen renovation.  Her artistic talents pare perfectly with design, as the artist's eye is in every detail.  She shares her love for color found in the color palettes she creates for her clients.  As a designer, Bren enjoys every aspect in the design and renovation process from textile design, custom color palettes, every surface possible, from window treatments, wall coverings, tile, and appliance selections down to every last detail, pots and pans, and helping a client choose the right chef's knife.  (This part is helped by the fact the she is married to a talented chef).  To add to Bren's portfolio, recently she incorporated hosting private events, such as planning a party for her clients to celebrate their completed renovation projects.  Future developments include, further growth of the fortunata LIVING brand, incorporating more Slow Design principles, utilizing more green and salvaged materials, and recycling items from her renovations.   Presently, Bren is working on her own textile and tile designs, as well as, managing to work on a few new paintings while managing a busy design schedule.
